The Merit of Islam (Arabic/English) – Book by Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab

Before you is the English rendition of the treatise “Faḍlul-Islām” – “The Merit of Islam” by Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab, may Allāh have mercy on him. This concise book by Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab contains the distinctive characteristics of Islam, and if someone ponders over each chapter and the proofs mentioned within it, he will be able to recognize many of the great blessings of Islam and its merit over other religions. This book is one that rewards reflection and contemplation, so each chapter should be accompanied by such.

To increase its usefulness, the authentication of this book by Shaykh Zubayr ʿAli Za’i, may Allāh have mercy on him, has been added, as has the original Arabic Matn. In this way, this book can be used both as a companion when listening to a scholarly explanation and for self-study. The English translation of the Matn is based on that provided by the Islamic Guidance & Community Awareness Association in Rabwah (Riyādh, Saudi-Arabia).

It was revised by Takhrīj al-Ḥadīth Publications and then revised and edited again by our noble brother Abu Khuzaimah al-Ansari from Salafi Research Institute (UK); brother Fazl Khan (UK) helped with important organizational matters, may Allāh reward them both with the best of rewards, Ameen.

The Taqrīẓ was written by Shaykh Nadhīr Aḥmad Madanī Umri, who graduated from Jāmi’a Darussalām ‘Umrabād (India), holds a bachelor’s degree in Ḥadīth and a master’s degree in Fiqhul-Ḥadīth from Medīnah University and soon a PhD from the International Islamic University (Malaysia). He currently works as an Imām and Khatīb at Masjid Anṣār, where he holds regular Durūs. He is also the head of department at the Jāmi’ ‘Īsā bin Salmān Institute (Rifā’, Bahrain), where he supervises activities and teaches, may Allāh protect and preserve him, Ameen.
